Anne Celeste Heche was an American actor who is known for her roles in various types of film, television and the theater. Anne Lockhart is an American actress. She was born Anne Kathleen Maloney on September 6, 1953. She is best known for playing Lieutenant Sheba in her role in the Battlestar Galactica television series (1978-1979). The actress' daughter is June Lockhart. Carpenter says she was interested however she decided to decline. Anne cannot recall John Carpenter having contacted her nor offering the role. It is possible that one of her agents declined the role on her behalf without telling the actress. Glen Larson, who had given her the initial draft script of a part of the TV series Battlestar Galactica from 1978, initially chose her. She initially rejected the part as she believed her character was weak. Glen was able to write an even stronger character with Sheba. After reading the initial 25 pages of the The Living Legend script, The Living Legend she accepted instantly. It ran for a single season. She co-starred with Desi Arnaz Jr. (son of Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball) Melanie Griffith and Robert Carradine in the film Joyride (1977) as well as co-starred with Michael Moriarty in the horror movie The Dark Tower (1987).
