She was just six when she left her family and moved into Point Pleasant New Jersey. Her high school education at the age of six in New Jersey at Red Bank Catholic High School. She graduated from Catholic University in New Jersey with a Bachelor's Degree. Also she started playing the violin from the age of four and was called Violin Girl. In recognition of her skills her performance, she received that name. Her neighborhood kids were also instructed to play the violin by her. She sang Free beginning in 1976 during her audition for America Idol's 6th season when she was the age of 19. The singer was subsequently eliminated the show after she finished 16th position.
