Scarlett Johansson is an American singer and actress born in the city of New York the city of New York, on November 22nd, 1984. Her performance has won an acclaim in a diverse spectrum of genres such as historical drama or thrillers, as well as action films. Johansson was born in New York City, and lived there with her father who was an architect and her mother, a producer. Hunter, her twin sister, was born in the City of New York. When she reached seven years old, her love of acting was growing. Her first audition was for commercials. When she was eight years old, she starred with Ethan Hawke as Sophistry in an Off-Broadway musical. When she was nine she made her acting debut in Rob Reiner's North (1994). Johansson made her debut as a character in Just Cause, but she made her debut with Manny & Lo, a film that follows orphaned siblings as they flee. The film received critical acclaim for her role as a teenage girl who had a life-threatening accident The Horse Whisperer (1998) as well as further recognition as cynical teen who is a solitary Rebecca on the set of Ghost World (2001).
